Why winter is really summer at Brora Golf Club

Ever wondered how the Scottish links greens keep in the off season and if the courses even remain playable to members during the winter here in Scotland? This video from Brora Golf Club’s 16th green illustrates not only are the putting surfaces healthy and members happy but they perform to the same standard as they did this past summer.

Brora Golf Club is roughly 30 minutes from Royal Dornoch and is the most northerly James Braid design and home to the James Braid Golfing Society. The smooth greens are guarded by electric fencing to keep the farming wild stock of cattle and sheep from grazing. Such a unique experience is hard to find and is complemented by the stunning scenery and authentic links experience illustrated below.

A visit here is like going back in time, how golf once was and hopefully shall remain thanks to the craftsmanship of their keeper of the greens.
