Western Gailes was in the spot light yesterday as PGA Professional Michael Patterson captured this stunning image of the clubhouse draped in a perfectly aligned rainbow overhead. The tweet from his account generated over 130 retweets reaching an audience of thousands around the world.
Following his initial tweet which started to get some interest it was to Michael’s pleasant surprise to see that the Golf Channel had shared the image to their 391,000 followers.
Western Gailes on Scotland’s west coast is a popular course with overseas visitors. It offers a genuine test of links golf for the budding amateur in a stunning dune setting.
