Phil Mickelson revealed that he played on the new Trump International Scotland links while competing at this year’s Aberdeen Asset Scottish Open hosted at neighbouring Royal Aberdeen.
Mickelson, a huge fan of Scottish links and a fantastic advocate of Scotland golf travel explained that this time, Donald Trump was right in bullishly claiming that his new Scotland course is the ‘greatest’.
Phil was not the only PGA Tour player to recently praise the course with the likes of Justin Rose, Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler having played during some down time away from the Scottish Open while staying on site.
It is sure to help golf fans appreciate the rich golfing options in Aberdeen Scotland with some stunning links offerings on show. As we outline in a recent podcast the Aberdeen coastline now provides the golfer with a world-class golf destination, easily accessible and perfect for those who love 36 holes a day and short transfer times.
In easy reach from St Andrews or the north Aberdeen has the lot with Whisky, the outdoors and as we enjoy seeing, miles of sandy beaches. If the three World Top 100 Golf Courses within 20 miles is not enough to convenience you, hopefully Phil, Rickie and the images of the Royal Aberdeen Scottish Open do the trick.
