Senior writer for Sports Illustrated Alan Shipnuck is the latest name to relive his Scottish golf trip which included ten rounds in just six days. It was a much anticipated trip for Alan and his three close friends having done a similar trip some 17 years earlier.

MUST READ: Alan Shipnuck set out on a 10-rounds-in-six-days blitz of Scotland

The itinerary looked something like this:

Day 1 – Fly in & Golf at North Berwick

Day 2 – Muirfield & Old Course, St Andrews

Day 3 – Kingsbarns & Trump International

Day 4 – Cruden Bay & Castle Stuart

Day 5 – Nairn & Royal Dornoch

Day 6 – Tain & Day of Departure

As Alan explained the trip was the first for some in the group so the emphasis was very much on playing as much golf as possible. Very much against what we’d recommend on the podcast the trip spanned the length of mainland Scotland’s east coast from North Berwick in the Southeast to Dornoch & Tain in the north.
